Kangaroo Island Seaview Motel Policies

Arrival and Departure

Check-in time is from 2.00 pm

Check-out time is prior to 10.00 am

Early check-in or late check-out is available on request and is subject to availability. Fees may apply.

We would appreciate you advising us if you expect to arrive after 6.00 pm.

Accepted Payments Methods

We accept MasterCard and Visa as well as cash, please note surcharges may apply for all card transactions.

Reservations Guarantee

To guarantee your reservation you will be asked for your credit card details.


Should you need to cancel your reservation we ask that you advise us at least 48 hours prior to your arrival date. Cancellations within this period will incur a fee equal to the first night’s accommodation charge which will be applied to your credit card.

Ferry Cancellations due to bad weather

  1. We highly advise all guests to obtain travel insurance to protect themselves against unforeseen circumstances.

  2. In the event that ferries are canceled due to inclement weather conditions, there will be no refunds provided.

  3. Instead of a refund, the motel will issue a credit to the guest, which can be used for a future booking within the next six (6) months from the original check-in date.

  4. The credit is non-transferable and can only be used by the guest who made the original booking.

  5. To avail the credit, the guest must contact the motel's reservation department within 24 hours of the canceled ferry departure time. Failure to do so may result in the forfeiture of the credit.

  6. The credit can only be applied towards the cost of accommodation and cannot be used for any additional services or charges.

  7. If the guest fails to use the credit within the designated six (6) month period, it will expire, and no further extensions or refunds will be provided.

  8. The motel reserves the right to make changes to this cancellation policy without prior notice. However, any changes will not affect bookings made prior to the policy revision.

Please note that by making a reservation, you acknowledge and agree to comply with the terms and conditions outlined in this cancellation policy.

Non-Arrival/No Show

Should you fail to arrive on the scheduled day of your reservation, your room will be held until the following day (before check-out time) in case you have been unforeseeably delayed and are unable to contact us. Should you not arrive your reservation will be cancelled, and the first night’s accommodation charge will be applied to your credit card.

Shortened Stay

After check-in, should you shorten your stay, you will be charged a minimum of one night’s accommodation

Rates and Minimum Length of Stay Requirements

Our rates vary by room type, availability, day of the week and season. During periods of high demand or major events and for certain packages we may apply a minimum length of stay. Please contacts us directly if you have any questions.


We don’t allow smoking within our guest rooms or near other guest rooms and within enclosed public areas. There are outdoor areas throughout the property where smoking is allowed. Cleaning fee of one additional night’s accommodation will be charged where smoking occurs within a guest room.

Pets and Animals

All pets and other animals are not allowed. Service/guide dogs are welcome. Cleaning fees may apply.

Special Assistance

We aim to do our best to accommodate our guests with a disability. We have one accessible friendly room, however there are small ledges on the door and toilet entrances. Give us a call before booking to ensure the room would be suitable to your required needs. Let us know in advance if you require special assistance of any kind so we can assure that your stay is hassle-free.

Additional Guest

All rates are based on double occupancy. Any additional guest added into your booking above 2 years old will have a charge of $25.00 per guest per night.

Group Bookings

If you are requiring more than 5 rooms, we request notification in advance so that we can assist you with your group booking in the best possible manner. Please note bookings for more than 5 rooms may required a deposit in advance to secure your rooms as well as room contract signed by the group organizer.

Fishing gear and seafood storage

Fishing gear is not allowed inside the rooms, and seafood is not allowed to be stored within the mini bar fridge provided in your room. We recommend bringing your own containers. Cleaning fee of one additional night’s accommodation will be charged if the room can’t be used due to the smell of seafood.
